We’re also watching the traditional Portuguese calçada stonework take shape around the house—and beginning to see just how beautiful these spaces can become. But this renovation journey is about more than construction. We share the frustration of waiting for important paperwork, celebrate some wonderful news and reflect on how far we’ve come since the days when finding a simple parking spot for our campervan felt like a good day's work. There’s also another Portuguese language lesson, this time covering vocabulary related to wine and winemaking! 🍷 Our habitation license has been a major hurdle in this four-year home project. Having the application submitted is a significant step forward, although we still have to wait for the authorities’ decision. We’re celebrating this progress and feeling incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us get here.
